These Terms and Conditions is an understanding between Velvetine Decor (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) and its Customers.
Velvetine Decor is a brand of the Company, which is engaged in the business of providing end-to-end home interior solutions for its Customers.
Customer refers to an individual, organization or entity that purchases goods or services from Velvetine Decor.
Price Validity and Payment Terms
The final price of your project with Velvetine Decor will be determined based on measurements, scope of work, and any changes in design, materials, or finishes. As such, you can expect the quoted price to vary by approximately 5-10% depending on these revisions. For non-standard product selections, customizations, or additional scope of work, the prices may increase significantly from the initial quote.
Payment Structure
Initial Design Payment: 5% of the estimated value is due upon initial sign-up for the design. This payment secures the design phase of your project.
Work Confirmation Payment: 60% of the estimated value is payable along with the work confirmation. This payment must be made in response to the confirmation email to proceed with the project.
Progress Payment: 30% of the estimated value is due based on work progress at the site. This payment ensures continued progress and adherence to the project timeline.
Final Payment: The remaining 5% of the estimated value is payable after project execution on site. This final payment is made upon completion and satisfaction with the project.
Additional Notes:
A non-refundable convenience fee of 2% (including GST) on the payment amount may be applied to certain payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, net banking, wallets, etc.
The name used for booking the order must match the KYC details of the customer. Name changes after booking are not permitted. Providing complete names at the time of booking will facilitate legal communications, finance options, GST invoices (for registered individuals), and refund processing in case of cancellation.
The initial quote may not cover civil, plumbing, gas-piping, or electrical work. The exact quote will depend on site conditions.
Between the first and third instalment stages, brand-partnered categories such as appliances, lights, and loose furniture may be subject to price fluctuations and availability issues. In such cases, alternative options will be provided.
Velvetine Decor categorizes its services under “Works Contract Services of Interior Solutions” (SAC 995476). GST will be collected on each payment as per the installment cycle, and an invoice will be issued upon completion of the service scope. Velvetine Decor is not responsible for your eligibility for GST Input Tax Credit; this should be verified by you prior to making payments.
Cash payments are accepted up to INR 199,999/- across all project stages. Payments over INR 49,999/- must be accompanied by a PAN card. Cash payments up to INR 1,99,999/- are allowed with PAN, which must belong to the customer, and a copy of the PAN must be provided to the finance team for approval. Orders cannot be split to accommodate additional cash payments.
Velvetine Decor is not liable for defaults or delays if payments are not made according to the payment schedule.
The quote validity period is 15 days. Any extension beyond this period will result in price adjustments as per the prevailing rates.
- All payments must be approved by Velvetine Decor via email communication. Payments will be considered effective only upon such approval.
Installation Checks
When civil work is done at the site (including false ceiling, electrical, plumbing, gas piping, wall demolition, wall partition, etc.), hand marks and scratches are bound to occur and cannot be avoided. It’s recommended to have a final coat of paint after completion of all interiors.
Delivery and Installation of Your Order
Delivery Timeline:
The delivery and installation of your order will occur on or before the delivery date specified in the quotation and at the address provided by you.
The delivery date will be calculated from the completion of the following requirements (“All-Set-Go”):
Both parties, the Customer and Velvetine Decor, must sign off on the designs and specifications for the home interiors.
The Customer must make all payments according to the specified payment milestones. The delivery guarantee will begin from the date of payment approval, confirmed via email by Velvetine Decor.
The Customer must hand over the site to Velvetine Decor in a condition that meets the requirements outlined in the Customer’s Site Readiness Checklist as per the Works Contract.
Dispatch and Acceptance:
Velvetine Decor will dispatch materials for installation at the customer’s site according to the “Ready to Dispatch” email and upon receipt of the Third and Final Installment of the payment in full.
If the customer does not accept the materials at the site within 15 (fifteen) days from the scheduled dispatch date, the customer will incur storage charges of Rs. 500 (Indian Rupees Five Hundred) per day from the 16th (Sixteenth) day onwards.
- Any risk of loss, theft, or damage to such materials during this period will be the sole responsibility of the customer.
Cleaning Services
Post-installation, Velvetine Decor will provide the following cleaning services at the site:
- Dusting, Sweeping, and Mopping: All areas will be dusted, swept, and mopped to ensure cleanliness.
Cabinet Cleaning: Doors of the cabinets will be cleaned to remove pencil marks and dust. The insides of wooden cabinets will also be cleaned.
Exclusions: Deep cleaning using mechanical equipment is not included in the scope of services.
Unloading Services
For materials moved by stairs above the 2nd floor, the following additional charges will apply:
Fixed Unloading Charge: A fixed charge of Rs. 5000 will be applied for the movement of materials from the 3rd floor and above when the service lift is unavailable.
Additional Floor Charge: An additional charge of Rs. 1000 will be applied for each floor beyond the 9th floor where the service lift is unavailable.
Cancellation Policy
At Velvetine Decor, our primary goal is to ensure the successful completion of every order. We understand that changes in circumstances may necessitate alterations to prices or material offerings. To ensure fairness and transparency, we provide the following cancellation policy:
Cancellation Timeframe and Policy:
Within 48 Hours from Order Booking (Payment of Initial Installment) and if Site Measurement has not occurred:
Stage: Design Stage
Policy: 100% refund of the initial order booking amount (i.e., 5% of the order value).
After 48 Hours from Order Booking and Before First Cut Design Finalization or 15 Days from Order Booking (Whichever is Earlier):
Stage: Design Stage
Policy: No refund of the initial order booking amount. Instead, the amount will be adjusted for future orders from the Velvetine Decor, valid for up to 6 months from the date of cancellation. The amount must be utilized in a single order and cannot be used for multiple or subsequent orders.
Note: No adjustment will be available after 6 months from the date of cancellation. Velvetine Decor will not share final designs with the customer at this stage.
After First Cut Design Finalization or 15 Days from Order Booking (Whichever is Earlier):
Stage: Design Stage
Policy: No refund will be provided.
Any Time After Signing the Works Contract:
Stage: Production Stage and Beyond
Policy: No refund will be issued. The customer will be required to pay the remaining 50% of the order value as per the Works Contract.
Additional Notes:
The time period is calculated from the date of order booking (i.e., the date the initial booking amount is received by Velvetine Decor).
Order Booking Amount: The payment of 5% of the order value made at the time of order booking.
Design Stage: Begins after the payment of the booking amount and ends before the payment of the work confirmation payment.
Production Stage: Begins when the customer makes the payment for the work confirmation, and this is when orders are pushed for production.
Site Measurement: Refers to the date when Velvetine Decor representatives visit the customer site for measurement.
Order Value: Total value of the project, inclusive of all discounts and taxes, as finalized post-quote confirmation.
- Refunds, if applicable, will be processed to the customer’s bank account, irrespective of the mode or source of the original payment.
Customer Conduct Policy
At Velvetine Decor, we are committed to maintaining a respectful and professional environment for all our representatives. To ensure smooth and successful project execution, we ask that you adhere to the following conduct guidelines:
Respect and Courtesy:
Velvetine Decor strictly prohibits discrimination against our representatives based on sex, race, religion, caste, origin, disability, marital status, gender identity, age, or any other characteristic protected under applicable law.
You are required to treat all Velvetine Decor representatives with respect and courtesy.
Safe and Compliant Environment:
You must provide a safe and compliant location for our representatives to perform their services. This includes adhering to all applicable laws, bylaws, and society norms, if any.
Velvetine Decor reserves the right to refuse service if these conditions are not met or if any representative is treated in a discourteous, disrespectful, abusive, or inappropriate manner.
Non-compliance may result in delays and affect the project timeline guarantee (if applicable). Such delays will not be considered a breach by Velvetine Decor under the Works Contract or Quotation and will be deemed a breach by the Customer.
Reporting Misconduct:
If a Velvetine Decor representative behaves in a manner that is discourteous, disrespectful, abusive, inappropriate, or violates the law, you must report the incident with valid proofs to velvetinedecor@gmail.com within 48 hours of the incident.
Communication Protocol:
All communications with Velvetine Decor representatives should be kept in writing through their official email. Ensure to keep the necessary point of contact designated by Velvetine Decor in the loop, if applicable.

- Complaints or escalations directed to unauthorized parties will be considered non-compliance with this policy, and Velvetine Decor reserves the right to take appropriate action as permitted by applicable law.
Personal Data and Privacy Policy
Authorization and Use:
By engaging with Velvetine Decor, you explicitly grant authorization for the collection, storage, retention, processing, and utilization of your personal data, including contact information, as detailed in our Privacy Policy. Velvetine Decor will use your personal data solely for legitimate purposes related to providing our products and services.
Communication:
You authorize Velvetine Decor to contact you through various channels, including phone, SMS, WhatsApp, and email. Such communication will be exclusively related to the products or services provided, and we are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your personal data, including contact information. Velvetine Decor reserves the right to photograph and publish images of completed work.
Data Sharing:
You consent to Velvetine Decor sharing your personal data, including contact information, with vendors, franchisees, and third-party suppliers as necessary for the fulfillment of our services, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By proceeding with our services, you confirm that you have read and agree that all terms of the Works Contract are accurate to the best of your knowledge and align with your requests.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bangalore, India.
